The next meeting of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will be held at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club on the evening of January 21, 2020. Attorney Ted Whitmer, MAI, AI-GRS will present the CE. The CE topic is:
Appraisal Past, Present & Future: Where we were, where we are & where we are going.
This presentation will focus on the evolution of appraising from the 1930’s to today. Additionally, we will discuss topics that have come up in cases such as the large mortgage cases, tax cases and condemnation cases. The evolution of Standards, Ethics and theory will be presented. Finally, as a group we will discuss the future of appraising.
